Axate and Apple Safari

16th December 2019

Apple have recently released a new version of their web browser, Safari, with some changes which prevent Axate from working properly. The changes are designed to enhance user privacy by making it harder to track you aross the internet. Unfortunately they also affect us because the Axate wallet is added to publisher pages by us - a third party.

WHY HAS AXATE STOPPED WORKING?

If you have recently upgraded your Apple computer and are running version 13.0.4 of Safari you may be affected by this problem. It prevents Axate from working properly on your browser.

HOW CAN I FIX THE PROBLEM AND ACCESS THE SITES I WANT?

For the moment you’ll need to use another browser. Chrome, Firefox and others all work fine. We’re working on a fix for Safari.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT VERSION OF SAFARI I AM RUNNING?

Click the “Safari” menu at the top of your screen and choose the first option = “About Safari”. If the versison is 13.0.4 or higher you will be affected by this problem.

CAN YOU LET ME KNOW WHEN THIS PROBLEM IS FIXED?

Of course! Just send us an email at support@axate.com and we’ll be sure to let you know when we have fixed this. We agree with Apple that privacy needs to be enhanced on the internet so we want to make sure we fix it in a way which is in line with the spirit of what they’re trying to achieve.
